Yashi Culture Brings Zigong Lantern Craftsmanship to Xingtai Taihang Spring City International Lantern Show,

The 2026 Taihang Spring City International Lantern Show has officially opened at Xianghu in Xingtai, Hebei. Yashi Culture’s team of skilled Zigong lantern artisans took charge of the full design, production and on-site installation for this large-scale immersive night tourism project. Stretching 2 kilometres around the lake, the lantern trail creates a brand-new nighttime landmark for the city of Xingtai.

The show features six themed zones with 62 large outdoor lantern sets. Highlights include the grand entrance arch, cultural sculptures, lotus landscape displays and smaller interactive photo installations. All pieces are handcrafted following classic Zigong lantern techniques: steel frame welding, fabric covering, colour painting and light fitting. Built with waterproof fabric and low-voltage LED lights, these lanterns are safe and durable for long-term outdoor exposure.

Designs draw inspiration from local Xingtai heritage, incorporating regional stories and historical figures such as Guo Shoujing. Complemented by parades, live performances and immersive activities, the event offers fun for visitors of all ages. It drew huge crowds during the Mid-Autumn and National Holiday period and received fantastic feedback from guests.
