The Mid-Autumn Festival is a time-honored traditional Chinese festival that embodies the nation’s deep-rooted appreciation for the full moon and the cultural sentiment of family reunion. To enrich citizens’ holiday experience and create a strong festive atmosphere, a grand lantern exhibition officially lit up at Xiamen Garden Expo Park. Fully designed, produced and installed by Yashi Culture, the event adopts intangible cultural heritage Zigong lantern craftsmanship to adorn the night sky of Xiamen with unique Mid-Autumn charm.

As night falls, the quiet elegance of Xiamen Garden Expo Park comes alive with countless glowing lanterns. Artistic light installations are scattered along lakeside paths, walkways and green spaces, blending naturally with the park’s original lakescape and vegetation. The perfect combination of luminous art and ecological scenery creates a warm and immersive festive atmosphere.

The exhibition features a rich variety of themed lantern scenes with distinctive styles. Dominating the entire venue is a magnificent giant phoenix lantern. Exquisitely layered wings and smooth gradient lighting shimmer gracefully in the dark, making it the most iconic photography highlight of the event. Cute cat lanterns deliver childlike warmth and auspicious meanings, complemented by colorful floral light decorations. Elegant lotus and egret lanterns stand by the water, their glowing reflections rippling on the lake and presenting a tranquil poetic scene unique to Xiamen. Ocean-themed lantern installations with dreamy blue and purple tones simulate flowing waves and starry rivers, perfectly showcasing the city’s coastal features.

Well-arra nged lantern clusters deliver soft, elegant lighting effects that combine traditional festive warmth with modern visual impact. Visitors stroll through the glowing corridors, enjoying the moonlit garden scenery and immersive night views.
