As dusk gently embraces Yokohama Harbor, the bluestone streets of Chinatown are awakened by layers of light and shadow. This outdoor light exhibition uses dozens of giant light installations as brushes, weaving Chinese cultural heritage with East Asian aesthetics. Spreading from the core of Chinatown to Motomachi, Yamashita Park and beyond, every lantern and installation holds a cross-border cultural dialogue.

Three core light corridors connect the installations: Ichiba-dori Bridge transforms into the "Bridge of Light", with golden light chains linking Chinatown and Motomachi; the "Path of Light" is a 200-meter-long corridor paved with warm golden light; the harbor-front route allows light and shadow to shimmer with harbor waves. Adhering to the concept of "traditional framework, modern soul", the light installations use bamboo and silk with traditional craftsmanship, preserving textural details through hand-painted patterns. Cool LED light sources, intelligent lighting systems and renewable energy achieve a balance between aesthetics and environmental protection, embodying the concept of carbon neutrality.
These light installations soothe homesickness through traditional Chinese symbols and convey cultural charm. The light corridors integrate Chinatown into Yokohama's urban fabric, writing a warm story of cultural integration and the living inheritance of traditions.
