Yashi Culture delivered the full lantern package for this large lakeside lantern festival at Xianghu in Xingtai. We created a 2km immersive night tour path circling the lake, split into six themed zones with 62 handcrafted Zigong lantern installations. We focused on cultural storytelling, visitor photo opportunities and long-term outdoor reliability. The finished show quickly became Xingtai’s new landmark for night-time cultural tourism.

1. Main Entrance Arch Lantern (Jianghu Town) This landmark gate sits at the festival entrance, built in the style of ancient Chinese architecture. It is decorated with lotus and mountain lanterns to create a striking first impression. It works perfectly as the main photo spot and draws visitors into the whole site.
2. Ancient Mythical Beast Lanterns Our large white tiger and winged mythical beast lanterns draw inspiration from old oriental legends. These 3D sculptures use layered hand painting and carefully arranged lighting. They are the biggest eye-catchers of the whole festival, great for wide shots and close visitor photos.
3. Family Cartoon Lantern We made a fun lantern of a cute cat driving a vintage car. This piece targets family visitors and creates kid-friendly photo stops. It balances the grand traditional style and attracts guests of all ages.

Every lantern is hand built by experienced Zigong craftsmen. The process includes steel frame fabrication, fabric stretching, hand painting and light fitting. We use waterproof outdoor fabric and safe low-voltage LED lights. The lanterns hold up well in humid lakeside weather and can run reliably through long night events.

The festival offered more than just static lantern viewing. There were live actors, themed parades and folk performances. We also added local Xingtai history and figures like Guo Shoujing into the scene design to build an interactive night experience. Crowds grew strongly through the Mid-Autumn and National Holiday break. Positive visitor feedback proved outdoor lantern displays are an effective way to drive night tourism.
