2026 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Lantern Show Project Case

With the theme of “Uniting the Bay Area, Shining for Millennia”, the 2026 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Lantern Show is located at Nansha Tianhou Palace and Coastal Park in Guangzhou. Covering an area of 800 mu with a 2.5-kilometer sightseeing route, it stands as a benchmark coastal outdoor light and cultural tourism project in South China this year. The exhibition lasted for 90 days, covering prime holidays including the Spring Festival, Lantern Festival and May Day holiday. It gained huge popularity and widespread online attention with its exquisite light scenes and immersive experience.

Our company participated in the whole process of this project, providing one-stop full solutions including on-site field investigation, customized thematic design, lantern production, on-site installation, commissioning and after-sales service. All lanterns are crafted with authentic Zigong intangible cultural heritage lantern techniques. Adopting rust-proof reinforced steel frames, high-transmittance waterproof satin fabrics and low-voltage waterproof LED strips, these lanterns have withstood long-term exposure to harsh coastal environments with high humidity, strong sunlight and heavy winds. Featuring sun protection, rain resistance, wind stability and fade resistance, they are perfectly suitable for outdoor commercial application overseas.

In line with international aesthetic trends, the project features fresh and elegant plant and flower lanterns, green vine decorations and minimalist landscape light installations. Abandoning cumbersome traditional designs, it adopts soft macaron color tones and three-dimensional transparent shapes with a minimalist and high-end style, which perfectly caters to the aesthetic preferences of European and American light festivals, commercial plazas and outdoor parks. Combined with trendy cartoon elements, festive gift box shapes and water scene lights, the lanterns integrate ornamental value, interactivity and photo-worthy commercial features.

The project achieved remarkable operational results, attracting a total of 650,000 visitors and gaining over 4.6 billion online exposures. It greatly boosted local catering, accommodation and cultural tourism consumption, fully proving the strong customer attraction and commercial value of Zigong lanterns for night tourism.
